Early childhood services are essential not only for the integral development of children, their initiation into French culture, but also to support parents in education strategies so that children grow up with a total balance.
This centre is committed to helping Alberta families optimize their knowledge, skills and competencies in French to achieve their well-being in the following areas:
- Supporting families in their personal and social, cultural, identity and linguistic growth,
- Parenting education,
- Resources centre
- Integration and reintegration of French into the home in terms of identity, culture, and a sense of belonging,
- Promotion of family mental and physical health in terms of prevention, early detection and intervention.
The Centre d’Appui Familial is the result of the amalgamation of two organizations: the SPEFSA (Southern Alberta Early Childhood and Family Society) and the CRF (Francothèque Resource Center).
It offers support to families for their overall well-being, but especially for early childhood.
