Although the majority of Francophones live in the major cities of Edmonton (capital) and Calgary (metropolitan area), there are 65 communities where live more than 100 Francophone in the province.

The cities of Fort McMurray and Grande Prairie, for example, are highly valued due to the strong regional economy and numerous employment opportunities. There are also significant francophone concentrations in Rivière­ la ­Paix, Bonnyville, Saint­Paul, Plamondon , Lac La Biche, Lethbridge, Canmore, Banff, Brooks et autres.

We find service points of the ACFA, the association representing Alberta’s Francophonie, in more than 13 regions.
