RIGHTS AND RESPONSABILITES

Get relevant legal advice

In Alberta, the judicial system is based on the Common Law , not the Civil Code, as in most French-speaking countries.

The Association des Juristes d’expression française, with its juridic clinic Centre albertain d’information juridique supports those in need to know their rights and responsibilities.  Individualised advice can be provided on an individual basis by competent persons.

The legal clinic is a service offered free of charge by the Centre Albertain d'Information Juridique, which allows to give individually to the public legal information on different subjects (labour law, immigration law, family law or real estate law) or to direct people towards the appropriate organizations. Several areas are covered, and a guide containing useful elements has been prepared for different subjects of the law.
